Yell had invested in SAP to support its international business.
As part of the implementation SAP Business Warehouse was used to deliver operational reporting.
Despite the extensive reach of SAP/BW, Yell needed to broaden the use of

such it provides a significant amount of the Internet infrastructure.
UUNET has made a huge investment in technology around the Globe. They
needed to manage global network traffic on a real-time basis.
Working as member of a wider team with a business partner - we
implemented a highly resilient and huge data warehouse. At the last
count, it was processing
circa 48 million transactions per hour.
UUNET had originally planned and budgeted for a bespoke data
warehouse using PL/SQL (a programming language). The time frame for
delivery was 6-month.
Our new team, using
Informatica, designed,
developed and completed testing in just 8

One of the observations was "there
were probably cross-sell and up-sell opportunities" and CMPI should capitalise on
them.
That is where Information Drivers came into the project. We
delivered actionable results faster and cheaper than the incumbent
consultancy.
